THE ADVANCE DIABETIC FOOT COURSE IS CONDUCTED
BY SPECIALISTS AND EXPERIENCED PRACTITIONERS
 

OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE
 

The Diabetic Footcare Course aims to help healthcare professionals responsible in the day-to-day care of people with diabetes through capacity building to increase competency and improve the management of diabetic foot problems. The course shall provide theoretical knowledge and supervised practical instruction in noninvasive foot care.

• Competency for Debridement

• Competency for Dressing Selection

• Offloading & Control of Infection

• Competency in Patient Education

• Competency in Assessment and Diagnosis

• Competency in Multidisciplinary Care Coordination

• Competency in Preventive Strategies

PARTICIPANTS ARE EXPECTED TO BE ABLE TO:

​

-    Gain knowledge on recent advances and practical aspects of diabetic foot care, especially in relation to management of Diabetic foot complications.
-    Perform history taking, foot assessment, basic foot care treatment and select proper foot wear to further improve care for Diabetic with foot complications.
-    Advice proper foot wear for diabetes with foot complication.
